So, we can have it either at the beginning of the word (initial), middle of the word (medial), or ending of the word (final). 2) While not being connected (ذ):

As in:   أذن              /ʼuTHun/    which means Ear


1) Final: 1) While being connected (ـذ):

     As in:        تلميذ    /tilmeeTH/    which means Student


2) While not being connected (ذ):

   As in:             أستاذ           /ʼustaaTH/   which means Teacher
